Design and realization: Susanna Schnibbe
This is the bedroom of a southern Italian living in Berlin, who longs for the sea and the light of the south.
The first idea was a complete ceiling painting. However, her husband was worried about "so much" painting. Reducing it to the frieze was THE solution. Using Keim silicate paints, pigments and mica, I conjured up the feeling of the sea with a beautiful silver shimmer and fish that appear in certain light.
